Meatball Pasta Casserole

A hearty, cheesy baked pasta dish loaded with tender meatballs and melted mozzarella and parmesan. Perfect for feeding hungry families - this comfort food favorite disappears fast!

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. 2

Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

While pasta cooks, defrost the frozen meatballs by placing them on a microwave-safe plate and microwaving for 3 1/2 minutes.

  4. 4

Once meatballs are defrosted, cut them in half (or quarters for smaller pieces) if desired - this helps stretch the dish and makes it easier for kids to eat.

  5. 5

In the pasta pot or a large mixing bowl, combine the drained pasta, cut meatballs, entire jar of pasta sauce, and half of both the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.

  6. 6

Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.

  7. 7

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheeses evenly on top.

  8. 8

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly throughout.

  9. 9

Let rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the dish to set.

**Family Note:** Serving sizes vary by family - this recipe feeds a family of 4, but may disappear quickly with hungry teenagers and adults!
