Homemade Granola

Crunchy, golden homemade granola packed with oats, almonds, and warm cinnamon. Sweetened with honey and perfect for breakfast bowls, yogurt parfaits, or snacking straight from the jar.

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 300°F.

    In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped almonds, salt, cinnamon, and flax seeds (if using). Set aside.

    In a smaller bowl, whisk together oil, honey, and vanilla extract until well combined.

    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. You may need to use your hands to ensure everything is evenly coated.

    Spread the mixture evenly onto two cookie sheets lined with foil or parchment paper.

    Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and gently stir the granola to promote even browning.

    Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the granola is slightly golden and fragrant.

    Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheets - this helps it get crispy.

    Once completely cooled, transfer to an airtight container for storage. Properly stored granola will keep for up to 2 weeks.
