Dad's Lentil Soup
A hearty, protein-packed soup that's both nutritious and delicious! This comforting lentil soup combines ground beef, vegetables, and aromatic herbs for a satisfying meal that's perfect for cold weather. The lentils add fiber and protein while the potatoes make it extra filling.

Fill a big pot half the way full of water, and bring to a boil. Adjust water if needed.

Add lentils and bouillon. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until the lentils are tender, stirring occasionally.

Brown the ground beef in a skillet with the chopped onion.

Peel potatoes and cube them. Peel and slice the carrots.

Add the cooked ground beef and onions, the cubed potatoes, and sliced carrots to the pot with the lentils.

Cook at a rolling boil till the potatoes are done.

Add the seasonings and salt to taste.

Remove the bay leaves before serving.
