Japanese style curry with rice
A comforting and flavorful Japanese-style curry made with tender pork, potatoes, and carrots in a rich curry sauce. This slow-cooker recipe creates a hearty, satisfying meal that's perfect served over hot rice. The mild curry sauce is approachable for those new to Japanese curry!

Cut pork into small chunks, like stew meat.

Brown pork with onion in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Transfer pork and onions to a slow cooker and add 4 cups water.

Cook on low for 3-4 hours.

Add potatoes and carrots and cook an additional 2 hours on high.

Add 1 cup of water if all vegetables are not covered.

Ten minutes before serving, break curry sauce into small pieces and place in slow cooker.

Stir occasionally as curry melts, for 10 minutes or until all curry mix has dissolved.

**Important Note:** Curry sauce will yellow any plastic it touches. Best to use either a dark plastic or metal spoon to stir and serve.

**Curry Heat Levels:** Curry sauce is available in mild, medium, and hot. If you are not used to strong spices, try the mild first. The others are quite strong!
